Delivering an advanced level practical training
PROCHAINE is a practical training program from basic to advanced level in mineral processing.
PROCHAINE draws upon the latest expertise in the field. It covers the whole process development chain – from ore mineralogy and bench-scale testing to continuous plant process assessment and process optimization in a state-of-the-art pilot plant.
The training program consists of individual modules. It gives participants a good knowledge on the theory and practical issues related to the design and upscaling of the ore beneficiation process, and how this information is related to the operational and economical aspects in the concentrating plant. The whole course will be considered from both theoretical and practical training in comminution, concentration, modelling and simulation, plant control and automation, laboratory tests and trials in pilot and demonstration plants.
After finishing the training program, the learners will have a good fundamental understanding and knowledge in mineral separation processes and scale-up from batch tests to industrial beneficiation plant and the factors affecting the functionality of mineral separation processes.
The training is for professionals already working in the mining sector, who are keen to learn more and update their knowledge in mineral processing. The client can choose an individual module or all of them.
PROCHAINE is funded by EIT Raw Materials. The partners of the project are University of Oulu/Oulu Mining School, Luleå University of Technology, Geological Survey of Finland/GTK Mintec, Outotec and Schneider Electric.
