PROCHAINE participation in IMPC 2018
On 19th September, Saija Luukkanen participated with a presentation in the Educational Commission Workshop in order to promote the Prochaine program in the International Mineral Processing Conference. It is the major event in Mineral Processing on the World. It was held in Moscow 17-21 September 2018. After the presentation, there was 2 hours of debate in education of future mineral processor and was emphasised the lack of mineral processing engineers.

Automation and Control
Schneider Electric giving the lecture on automation and control, the training includes theory and practice in the OMS plant control room.
Hands-on in Pilot Plant
Student participation was alive treating Pyhasalmi ore in the rougher, cleaner and scavenger copper circuits, they control condition as pulp density, pH, reagent dosage and flows until the plant stabilise. Then they made a sampling campaign by increments and used to evaluate final yield, grade and recovery.
International Consortium
Specialists in Mineral Processing from University of Oulu-Finland, Lulea University of Technology -Sweden, Outotec from Finland, GTK Geological Survey of Finland and Schneider Electric from Finland met in Outotec in Helsinki (24.11.17)
